Hi Speed Wobble

hi

seem to have developed a vibration on the steering when going above 110mph. only happens when accelerating hard, sort of comes on and off for few secs every few secs. below 100 never get it. any ideas?

Try and balance your wheels. Sometimes thats the cause.

Honestly it sounds like a driveline vibration if it is throttle dependent. But you state it is in the steering wheel. I would start with Kenstudios rrecommendation. At those speeds a driveline vibration would be very difficult to find. The only thing I can think of trying without spending money would be to check or adjust the center support bearing alignment. Be sure to look for damage to the flex discs.

its getting new tyres in couple of days so will get them to check the alignment and everything then. its just had an mot (like a test that the cars safe to drive in the uk) and the tester said everything was all mint apart from some slight play in the ball joints and they had another 3 years left in them. will get him to have another look at it
