Smile C180 hot running problem

Hello people. I may not be initially well liked here being a previous BMW nut, but I aqquired a 1996 C180 to play about with. (It wouldn't run so I got it very cheap) and it turned out that the CAT was blocked. New exhaust, and away it went.

When I start the car from cold it runs perfectly (on the auto choke), however once the engine heats up and the idle drops, the car becomes lumpy on idle and it misses a bit. There are no warning lights on dash and there is no-one local with a MB diagnostic machine.

Car has been parked for over 2 years as the previous owner could not get the route of the exhaust problem, but I have since put a new radiator on it and viscous coupling. Changed the oil and filled it with fresh fuel.

Any ides? Possibly a lambda sensor? Can these be tested easily? Cheers for any help!
