Throttle body on 1995 C class
Hi guys.
I am the latest victim of the corroded wiring causing throttle body problems.
I have already replaced the corroded engine wiring harness, and found a number of places to get a re-man throttle body. My main question is this: I keep seeing references to having the new throttle body "coded to my car by a mercedes tech"
Does anyone know why this needs to be done or why? Why can you not just buy a replacement throttle body and fit it to the car and have it work "straight out of the box"? If anyone can say why or provide a work around soloution I would appreciate your advice.
