My CD Changer arrived last week, was not able to try it until tonight. Got stiffed from the guy on E-Bay who sold me the CD Changer and all the attachments, Carpet cover, trunk bracket and the 6 Disk Magazine. Only the guy never sent the 6 Disk Magazine. I have been sending him e-mails (Qty 4) and he has not replied. I went to the Benz Dealer and bought one for $42.00. Everything was fine, plug and play. I now have tunes. Wont buy from e-bay again..

Hopefully he is just out of town, but I dont think so. I had to wait over a week just to get him to ship it. (I sent him an e-mail every 2 days until he did)

Even though there are allot of flaky sellers on eBay, do not be discouraged. Make sure to check out the seller rating feedback. I have been buying and selling on eBay for a long time and only recently had an issue with a buyer.

DId you pay through paypal? You may be able to report it to them, as not advertised.

Yes you can file a claim IF you paid with paypal. You will have to go to a car audio store and get a document with them stating the item was missing the magazine. Paypal doesn't care at all what the story is, you just have to provide the document and an estimate for its replacement cost. It's pretty easy... If you paid with paypal, go ahead and file the claim.. That usually gets the sellers attention real quick. Maybe he will grace you with a response. As soon as you file a claim, paypal *holds* that amount from his paypal account.. so he can't spend the money you paid him.

how much would it have cost you to get all that from the dealer, and how much did you end up paying in total?

Its still to early to tell but the guy finally contacted me and told me he was out of town and was shipping the Magazine disk to me last Tuesday. So the verdict is still out, but hopefully he will make good on his promise.
For some of the other questions:
1. With shipping to Vancouver BC from NJ the total cost was $249.06 Canadian.
2. Just the CD Changer from the dealer here is $733.00 without tax.
3. The Mag Disk was approx $42.00 including tax.
4. Trunk Bracket at dealer is approx $90.00 without tax.
5. The top cover was carpeted??? Would like to have the full carpet cover that goes all the way around but it didn't come with it. (Maybe someone out there has one for sale???)

Anyway I still think it was a darn good deal. It works like a charm and it was just plug and play, with no fuss at all.

Paid $42 for the magazine? That was the rip-off.

The 6 CD magazine is made by Alpine (as is the changer and headunit).

For those who have the Alpine Electronics (not Becker) built, fiber optic linked, six disc CD unit in the trunk, this is a list of compatible disc magazines. I have noticed that the "non-Mercedes" branded magazines are a bit cheaper.
