Weird Oil Leak

Believe it or not, I found some leaked oil on black plastic cover at the very front of the engine (blue rectangle area in the picture). Seems like oil leaks out of oil cap or near areas, jumps up to that insulation cover under the hood, then travels all the way down and drops to that black cover thing with star mark.

Would you guys be able to give some input about this, such as similar experience, cause, what to fix, etc.?

FYI, it is ’98 C230 with close to 122,000 miles on it. Service B was done @ 114,930 miles on July at Mercedes-Benz of San Francisco.

Thank you in advance!

From the areas, if its around the edges of the engine, most likely the valve cover gasket needs replacing. Oil will seep through once the gasket is worn out.
