It should be about every 12,000 miles or so. Do check it up with your automotive technician though. The C280 Straight 6 has a self adjusting timing chain so I guess you don't have to worry about it. Do check if your C280 had a recent change of transmission fluid though, I guess its good to change that every 50,000 miles. Hope this helps.

Enjoy the ownership your Mercedes-Benz.

yeah 12000 miles is only if you have synthetic oil.. for regular oil its more like 4 to 6k.. yeah watch the transmission, dont constantly drive it hard.. take it easy on the throttle and watch the transmission you should be fine.. enjoy the ride.

It depends on how long you want to keep your car. If more than 2 years, transmission every 30k and oil 7,5k miles. Use fully synthetic lubricants for both, M1 0w-40 for cold climates, 15w-50 if you live in constantly hot areas. M1 synthetic ATF for the transmission, remember to drain the torque converter in addition to the transmission pan, and change the filter.
