metalic sound at exhaust c280

metalic sound at exhaust c280
hello
im new on this forum
, i actualy have a c280 v6 bva sport from 1998
but i have a problem, my exhaust (im not sure but i think) make noise like "tic tic tic tic tic" between 1500 and 4000 rpm for ex, if in accelerate at max, i dont hear it
the noise is localised between motor and automatic trans, so 1meter before catalytic... so im not sure that is catalysor which make noise

I think i may have a similar problem, but i dont hear it when i hold a speed only when i accelerate. The car runs normally and the revs are also normal. Mine sound is not as much "tictictic" as it is in a lower frequency (like there is a hole in the exhaust system) and coming somewhere from the front left of the engine.. anybody who knows what to look for?
