Counter, Anti, Leftwards, etc.
The bolt is not only torqued down hard, but also has a liberal amount of locking paste, so be sure to have a large breaker bar, an assistant holding the wheel and DO NOT have the steering lock engaged.

On the 4 steering wheels I've done, all were done with a breaker bar and a allen head socket. You'll never forget the sound that the screw makes when it breaks loose from the loctite that the factory uses, it's loud.

I wouldn't be overly concerned with the factory loctite, the blue loctite at stores is fine. I believe that the torque spec for the wheel bolt is way up at 80 Nm (59 lb/ft).

Do I need to align the 2 hole to access the screw to remove the plastic to gain/remove the crusie control swicth which may need replacing (damage?). Whats the part Number?
The wiring behind this dash, how to access, do I need to remove more parts to access these jumble of wiring?

The "plastic" is the spiral contact spring for the airbag. You must remove two small phillips head screws. Then you must carefully pry the whole assembly from the column. Pry from the back between the spiral contact asssembly and the steering column trim.
Folks who dig this deep should really buy the M-B W202 CD Part Number P-2700-202-03. It outlines all these service procedures in detail.

Thanks. The wiring behind that dash seems to be enclosed in black conduit. Do I need to remove conduit, seem wiring run down to the foot , near the acceleartor pedal. I need to replace damage wirings.

rmt6668 - You have answered your own question. If the wiring is in a conduit you need to pull the entire section. The only other way would be to split the conduit somehow.

As above just 2 x 28 torx screws 2" long, lift it and unplug it.
Do not turn the ign on with it unplugged or it will store a fault code.
When taking out the 10mm hex bolt from the steering wheel the easiest way is to take the 10mm socket key and drive to a tire garage and the air line will take it off with ease. leave it quite tight, rest the air bag in place and drive carefully home and play. I have never found an electric one to do the job.
