Traction in snow

Are these cars as bad as I experienced yesterday?? I couldn't barely move in the snow. By adding weight to the rear i.e. sand bags in the rear compartment will it help or make it worse?? Thanks for all replies. I have a 99C208 Sport with 16" wheels

Make sure your tank is full. That will add weight. Weight will help with traction to get you going forward. It can work against if you ever to get into a spin though.

I agree with the previous poster. Tires make all the difference. If you have tires designed more for sport handling, they are going to suck in the snow.
