1999 C230 Kompressor
sound system
hey everybody. i have a 99C230 Kompressor without the Bose upgraded sound system. i went online to crutchfeild.com to look at what options i have in my car. I'm wondering what size i need for my car: the site states-
Front Door and Rear Deck: 6'1/2"
Rear Door: 4'
is that correct in the first place? also soem speakers i want from that site says modified fit. everything is the same size except for Top-mount depth. what is that exactly.
what upgrades have some of y'all done to your cars? what brands do you recommend. i wanna spnd less then $300 on my speakers. is that enough to allot and with that budget what would y'all get. my car has the 6-disc changer, do i keep that or what, lol.
sorry this is so long i just want the best bang for my buck.

Bose Upgrade from Standard Setup

I was looking at doing the same upgrade in my 2000 C230 Kompresser. If anyone out there has kept the original Benz head unit and just added Bose Booster and Bose Speakers would be great to hear how you did it and any part numbers if you still have them??
I just want to upgrade to what my car would have had rolling off the assembly line if it had the Bose Option.. Any help would be great..
