Up the torque for C180 ?

Well, all of you have either c230 and above, I must say that I am so jealous because my C180 is SOOO underpower.

It does look very nice, isn't it ?

So, anyone can suggest the easiest way to up the h/p or torque with minimum cost incur. Please don't ask me to fix a turbocharger or kompressor, is there other way ?

Or is it easy to chip the IC ?

You could try a K&N air filter and/or sports exhaust such as Ansa.
Multi-electrone spark plugs may also make a difference, Bosch or Beru seem to be some of the better ones.

Sharp looking car!!! Realistically though, it would probably be cheaper to just get a used 2.8 litre engine. You would gain 80 horsepower. I can't remember how much torque your car has but I thing it would be around a 40% gain as well. If this is unrealistic for you I would look for a performance chip and maybe a high performance camshaft as well. A K&N filter will give you only about 5 horsepower and the exhaust, if you lucky, about 7. I think that would run about 200 Euros. Hey, if Toyota can get 178 horsepower out of a 1.8 litre engine Mercedes should be able to do the same right?

Unfortunately, the import duty in my country is very high and it makes the change quite costly. I think the filter and exhaust trick would help but I don't think I can get them so easily. Any website can tell that whether they are available say in Singapore ?

BTW, don't mind to let me know roughly how much a used engine (2.0 , 2.2 and 2.8cc) cost in your country ?

Saw one on Ebay go with tranny for less than 3,000 dollars. 75,000 miles on it. I can probably get one in a junkyard for about the same price, maybe less. People drive like idiots over here so cars are always getting wrecked.
