Rough low speed acceleration
1998 C-280 question: Car idles fine, but from a very gentle acceleration from stop there is a hesitation until around 5 mph. Meaning, if I give it a small amount of gas, it feels like the ignition is turning on and off and causing the car to "buck" until around 5 mph. If I give it a lot of gas from idle it accelerates fine.
Any thoughts on this one?

Could be that or many other things. I kind of doubt it's a coil since it runs perfectly after a slight increase in fuel.
I'm thinking it could be a throttle position sensor or something simular to that.

1995 Mercedes C220
actually i had a similar problem not too long ago, except my c220 would rough idle in gear and rpms would fluctuate almost to turn off, but after high RPMs (1500+) it would be fine. It seemed to me that the plug wires were jumping from wire to wire because of old use. Sure enough it was the wires which solved the problem. Car runs like new again. Always check minor things first before you go changing anything drastic.
