Congratulations tpliquid, you have just done the most posts in the shortest amount of time! How about some pictures of your car. What I have seen of it so far I like. Slow down typing and proof read a little. It's not a race till we get on the track.:p

Hey TP,
I'm a "newbie", just made the 1st payment on my '95 C280. I've seen a lot of cars around here in LA with big 18" rims similar to yours and have been wondering what's up with them. They look cool, but is there any performance advantage to them? If so, why do you suppose MB, in their German over-engineering way, doesn't equip their cars with them from the get-go? They look expensive. Just wondering. Sorry for the seemingly dumb question, but I'm new to all of this. Your car looks great.

on the AMG cars they are equipped with the 17inch wheels or 18 inch but the standard they dont. i guess for ride confort? i dont really know lol.
going from my 15's to 17's the car felt more stable on turns. lots more rubber on gorund hehehe. these 18s are nice too but very bumpy.

rims are 8.5 front and back
tires are
front: 225/40/18
rear: 255/35/18
rubs in front and needs rolling.
also add E55 brakes
and E55 blinking mirrors LOL
spelling edit

when i had 17 inch mono's they didnt rub. i had 7.5 front rims.
the 8.5s are too wide for front makes my tires wider s they touch the fender
pic of rim and tire.
the rim makes my tires wider
