will this hid kit fit on my car
i found a guy that is selling some hid headlights from a cl55. and i want to know if i should buy them and put them in my 99 c230k. the have all the necessary parts and PHILIPS D2S 85122 HID BULBS. the guy told me i can buy a ring on the bottom of the bulb that will make it fit in my headlight housing or i could just buy new bulbs for my specific headlight housing and wire them to the balasts and igniters of the cl55 hid's. should i buy them i am getting a really good deal. and will they work ok with my car. what kind of kits (those who have hid's) do you use? any help will be great! thanks

meaning it'll be really really bright.. but most of your light will be shining in ppl's eyes and not on the ground =) altho it does look good... but wait till u acccidently get those bright bulbs in a cops eyes.. thats a ticket =)

You can usually find aftermarket HID kits for pretty cheap. I'd go that way instead of fitting it from a CL (though it will work). And Sparcus is right..the light pattern will be all out of wack. Even if you use aftermarket kits, the pattern won't be as good as the OEM HID kit.
