Need some help diagnosing problems (suspension related)

Every time my car drives i hear squeaky sounds from the front suspension, and when I am turning the car at low speeds like in a parking lot I hear a screeching sound from the front engine area.

My question is that does this sound like their is a problem with the shocks and springs or are my lower control arms giving out, or could this be the cv joints? Since screeching usually comes when the cv joints are about to give out, or would it be the springs since it squeaks when I drive?

1995 C280 120000 miles, no front suspension changes or modifications.

Thanks for the help

while i had the same problem about a year ago i changed shocks and bushings to the control arms(upper lower cost me about 900$$$ a guy i know + all shocks not just the front) i recommend not changing the spring unless the are cracked or broken it will ruin your ride. Sincerely Phjat

So the main problem was the upper and lower control arms?

one more question about the control arms. when I raise the car I put the jack under the control arms to raise the car, and then put the jack stands under the rubber jack points, would this harm the control arms? or is this okay since i only use it to jack the car, and not to hold the car up?

What about something more basic like a wheel bearing? The fact it occurs during turns and comes from the front made me think of a bearing.

it seems you don't have the original jack. I would recommend putting the jack just after the lower arm connect to chassie its a hard spot but not too far you will know just get down look at it first eyes never lie then put the jack

I think my ball joints might be going bad, because this isnt a whistle its more of a squeaky sound when driving slowly and then a screaching sound when turning in a parking lot, kinda like when you turn the car at a fast speed but this is at like 5mph.

After a certain point, yes, but necessarily when they are first going bad. In my experience will usually hear noise first just during turns. Then you will here it get louder over time. Then it will progress to where you hear it going straight but louder in the turns.

so would it be something simple like springs or complicated like lower control arms?

i don't believe its the springs i never changed mine like i said earlier you will lose comfort with new spring it will never be the same. I recommend just ball joints ,tie rod ends and bushing replacement (if u find a decent not so expensive kit for the bushings) usually on ebay. Ball joints and tie rods are pretty cheap you just have to align the front i believe its about 100$ or so for alignment. GOOD LUCK
let us know if .....
and how its doing

Are you sure this is not the power steering pump (you may just be low on fluid). If so, be sure to use the original MB fluid, there is not an aftermarket substitute.

Also, have you checked the lubrication on all the bushings and joints, my car was completely silent after a retightening and lubrication.

which parts should i retighten and lubricate? and should i just drain and refill the power steering fluid or is there a way to completely flush it out?
