Starting Problem
Hi all,
I hope there is someone out there that has had the same experience and is willing to give some advice.
My '94 W202 C220 Elegance Automatic wouldn't start one day just out of the blue. It drowe perfectly the day before.
Syndrome:
The car starts fine, turns over at idle for ½...1 sec. and then dies.
I can start it over and over again, always with the above result.
I have had it tested at the workshop with a Merc tester - No Error code.
They have changed:
Petrol filter and pump, ignition coils, crank shaft sensor, camshaft sensor.
They also tried to disconnect the MAF, and the Lambda sensors, checked the vacum line from the injection - no luck.
I have looked at the wireharnesses that connect to the ECU - looks fine.
Anyone????
Best regards - Axel

Disconnect the vacuum feed to your fuel pressure regulator; #26 in this diag. http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.asp...SGR=095&SGN=02
,turn over your engine on the starter and watch for any fuel dripping from the regulator vacuum pipe nipple,if there is the diaphragm is blown and you need to replace the regulator.
