Installing Anchor for Child Seat - 1995 Model
Hello,
I drive a 1995 C220 and need to install a rear tether for a forward facing child seat. There is a hardware kit in the glove box but I can't see where the bolt attaches on the rear package shelf.
The dealer says there should be 3 separate attachment points under the rear shelf with threaded bolts welded to the metal underside of the package shelf, but I can't see them when looking from inside the trunk.
Does anyone know where these attaching bolts are?

Just go back to your MB dealer...
By law they are to install for free. If not try another place.
If you're really stuck and want to do it then it is about an inch in front of the center brake light just behind the first aid kit. (Safest place to put the kid is in the center they say) I have it mounted that way for my 97 C230
