I am new to the site.. hope not to get flamed LOL.. I drive a 1998 c230 I will have pics up as soon as its washed!!

I have a question I am having a bit of a problem getting an answer to..
Does anyone know if a transmission from a c280 would fit my application ??
My transmission is starting to act up on me and something tells me I am in for a big surprise lol.

hey thanks for the answer. Its been about a year and a half since i got it serviced (not by a mercedes benz) i beleive i am not under warranty.

I bought the car already with problems, it would stay COMPLETELY stuck in 2nd gear.
Took it to a mechanic, he fixed it. Everything seemed to be good up untill now and unfortunately the warranty on the transmission work was only for 12 months.

Whats happening now: I turn on the car let it warm up and go, problem is it wont change out of 1st, 2nd, or 3rd till i reach about 3,300 rpm. thats pretty high, you can feel it draggin the gear.

but this is the part that confuses me a bit, once the car has been running for about 45min or is hot, the transmission starts changing fine. Only does it when the car is semi-cold... is this supposed to happen?
Maybe it is and this is a dumb question, i am new to these cars and after seeing most of you guys' cars, just now is when i am starting taking a true
interest in them... any help is appreciated.
