erratic shifting auto tranny
i own a 1998 c230 (love this car) that downshifts erraticly after taking my foot of the gas, speed control is down and ABS light has come, now auto trannie it is in limp mode. is there some one that can give me some advise as to what the problem is

You need to take it to an Autozone or someplace and scan it for codes. I would actually delete the ECU codes before you drive to the store by disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds. That will clear out any old irrelevant ones and just give you the most recent/prominent one. We really can't diagnose much based on the information you gave. It may be multiple unrelated problems. Hard shifts might be as simple as a bad MAF while the other errors might be a bad speed sensor but who knows. It could be so many things.
