Im thinking of fitting an outside temp gauge, does anyone know where the sensor is located and how to wire it up to the display in the instrument panel as my 95 c200 was never fitted with one, cheers:

It's in the front louver grill. Driver's side. Remove the Tow Hook cover and it should fit right in there.

Why don't you just change out your rear view mirror with one that has a temp. guage built into it. Does your stock guage have a place to put the digital read-out?

Is there an OEM Mirror that does this? Perhaps also uses the Auto-Dim feature??

How hard is the conversion?

I should take this to another Thread.. but oh well.

I didn't like the ebay item as it looks like you have to mount it to the windshield.. which would leave a tacky looking spot where the current one exists...

Is it just me or does it seem like the parts options in the UK are always better than the US?

I mean, you can order just about every little item/option you want after factory there it seems... the US MB dealer always tell me that things aren't possible...

Don't all U.S. models come with the standard Temp Guage?

I thought Mercedes was top of the line everywhere! What's up? How much does a new one of those cost? I feel like I'm driving a Rolls Royce over here now! Don't tell me those come with plastic and cloth too......
