After change te head gasket

Hello! I had to change the head gasket on my C200 kompressor. Just wondering: the engine will be the same? The work was done by a Merc mechanic. And how, in terms of miles/km's can I expect to how much? Is the first car that I have that change that part...

How did the gasket fail? How many miles on the engine?

It really depends on if any contaminants got into the crankcase for an extended period of time.

If the gasket was only leaking, and there was no over heating you should expect it to last quite a while.

If you had a little mixing of the fluids but no overheat you should expect the car to run for sometime. when the engine overheats damage occurs. If you can avoid that you are usually better off.
Think of a headgasket replacement as any repair and continue driving and enjoying your car.
