Hey,
Balance everything, leave all internals stock...invest in decent external engine mods.consider stronger internals only if you manage to ever break them =).

Latest

were talking about installing lighter pistons new pistions cam bearings and other bearings it seems at this point of 165000 its time to change every bearing ... Head gasket was done around 100k so well wait on that and the valve cover gasket will be changed allong with oil level sending unit and lower ball joints and lower tie rods shocks are still original and to be honest not bad eibach springs nice n low shocks will be replaced sooner than later bilstien sports

later

You will need a new head gasket regardless if you pull the head off.
what pistons are you planning to use?...compression changes if any?

Omey,Low boost 3.6 would see some nice results,i should have done that instead of my 4. hindsights awsome=)

So how did the dyno tune go?

Well for what its worth be it worth anything at all,Use standard mercedes rings with what ever piston you use, talk to only engine builders who have re-cond or upgraded mercedes engines many times.dont buy the lightest piston just because its light, light doesnt benefit you if you have to pull them out after 10k's due to slap or excessive skirt wear.

Goodluck with the project.
