What can I expect from a 1994 C280?

There is one for sale 45 minutes from me, and I am looking for a car for my sister.

The car seems clean, but has 186K miles on the clock, original motor/trans.

The headgasket was never done, but the waterpump, fan clutch, engine harness, etc, were all changed at one point or another.

A/C works but has never needed any attention - can I expect condenser rot and evaporator leaks?

What else can I expect to fail next?

thanks!

Pass on this car. Way too many miles and at that age chances are its full of problems. Especially if its a C Class. Look for something with less miles. Where are you located? I will have a 2000 C280 Sport for sale come this spring with only 79,000 miles.

The seller is asking 2600, willing to take 2200. I was thinking more like 2000.

If the car was for me, I wouldn't be intimidated by the head gasket, etc, as I can fix it myself, but it's for my sister on the opposite side of the country...
