How often to replace shocks?

how often do you replace your shocks? i know that you could just not do it until you ABSOLUTELY need to...is that basically the rule, or will i notice a difference by replacing them more often?

Of course you will notice a difference by replacing them before they are completely worn out, it all depends on the deviation from the norm/new state.

Considering they have about 130k miles on them, they are not dangerously worn, but nowhere near new.

I still love your car.
