W202 C240 (M112 E24) engine problem-overhaul

Dear friends, I am new to the posting here, but I have read forum for years. By the way, MY 98 C240 is in service now, and the guy said it is time to overhaul the engine. It's 160,000 km. (changed MAF and CPS already)
- What is the approximate cost?
- Can I just upgrade to E28 or E32 (M112) by changing parts? Is it worth doing so? Will it cost much more than overhaul it (current E24)? What else need to be changed if upgrade?
- The technician guy always fill engine lube more than max indicator(8 litres every time I changed the engine oil), do you think it is the cause of the engine break down in such a short miledge? (Always use Mobil1 0W-40)

thanks.

i dont think your engine should need a rebuild after that sort of milage unless you have either used it for a race car or run it out of oil/water

Thanks for the reply. The engine seems to have no power when pressing the gas, and it also losts so much engine oil within 4,000km.
ANy suggestion?

From "Max" to below the "low" stick mark, the indication light also came up. I feel it has less power than my 15 years old E220.
