So here is my new machine 1999 C280 it has about 92k miles.
So far I put on it tinted windows. Everything else is stock.
I want to put some upgrades. Please suggest.
Also I want to start with the corner lights. Should they be smoked or white?
send pics if you have any to show both. also my car color is black!

Keep your corner light and for your first step, change the grill, wheel to 18" along with tires and some lowering spring.
And if you like, you can do single tuner mods tho it's gonna be hard as w202 has been out for quite some times.

I agree with the mods suggested above. I have clear corners on my car, not the crystal kind. It will cost too much money and it isn't worth putting money into the motors on our cars. Keep it purely cosmetic and clean looking. Another suggestion would be debadging and maybe a roof wing. Let us know what you decided on. Also, there is nothing better then maintaining a black car with polishing and waxing it...makes it look like a completely different car!

Advantgarde (sp?) or it has a seach name of "S600" grill on eBay I think. The grill with have the same style as the W210 E-class. It will have all chrome stripes. Makes the car really look 100 times better.

well i researched them on e-bay and they go for around $50. The grill will be a step for sure, but i don't know to buy it black or buy it chrome. I just bought new bridgestone potenzas pole position and i'll be willing to get new rims after at least 25,000 miles. Don't ask. When I bought the car, they had some "brigadier" tires and the ride wasn't smooth at all, it was like i was driving a lawn mower. I'm looking for HID kits also, but i don't know how i'll make the connection, or should i just get the lamps.

all hid kits are plug n play. takes 5 minutes. corners should be around 20. slam it

Stick with the avantgarde grille, it's a major improvement and one of the better aftermarket grilles for our 202. And for a black car such as yours, smoked or clear (NOT crystal) work great either way. There's alot of potential with black w202's, you choose a great color!

HID kit is also quite fitting. 5500k to 8000k seem to be the optimal choices. If you get a c36/43 bumper, be sure to get an HID kit for the fogs too!

Thank you. Black Color is the official Mercedes Benz Color but i was wondering if i can take off the little grilles where the fogs should be and put some HID fogs?
Also what about a black grille? anyone knows where i can find one?

I've been doing a little research on that actually: problem is, there are no stock fog projectors for non-amg w202 bumpers; instead, we have ours hooked up right below our low beams (and i dont suggest you convert both lows and fogs to HID's; you'll melt something on a warm day). What you CAN do is buy 2000-2004 mustang fog lights, shave them a little bit and retrofit them on the grille mesh on the bumper, but that's really hard. I only read about it on club202 (i think), and it ran the dude about $500. In other words, it would be easier to just get an AMG bumper with the stock fogs and play with them there.

With regards to black grilles, you'll have to paint it yourself. I don't think there are any vendors that sell stock black ones.

I'm 17 and i'm inspired of the horse powere because most of my friends drive hondas and acuras and mitsubishis and scions, and i don't want any of that junk to be better on the road, than the benz.
however i wasn't saying exactly that i'll buy it, but will i be able to fit this kind of think under my hood? or if i take a kompressor's supercharger?!? from c230 k?

and as for turbos, you need to learn more about cars. no turbos just "fit" any non-turbo cars headers.

Did a little bit of research on that, possible but not worth the trouble at all. First off, Compression ratios are different (obviously our n/a is higher) and you'd need to find thicker head gaskets to try to lower compression. Putting a kompressor SC on an N/A engine could lead to detonation, and if you don't know what that is, i highly suggest you completely drop the idea of going F/I until you know more.

If you really want more oomph, but want to keep the car, you could try an engine swap, but even that is more trouble than it's worth. The c43 and c36 engines drop in nicely, but you still then have alot of different situations to deal with.
