To lower a car you are going to need springs and shocks. Now picking a combination is all up to you. Depending on the stiffness you are looking for, how low you are looking to drop you car, and how much money you are going to spend. Also, our cars also have pads varying from 1 -5 that help us lower or raise our car ever so slightly. You can buy springs and shocks anywhere really...eBay, Tirerack, etc... What size rims are you going to put on? Search on this forum or www.club202.com under keyword "lowering" and there is TONS of info on suspension setup.

I don't know the part number, but I think they are called spring pads. Basically the lower the number the thinner they as. Thus giving your car a lower stance. These can be purchased from your dealer and aren't that expensive at all. The change in height are just centimeters, but it will give just the little extra you are looking for. If you are too low and scraping your tires, this could be a possible solution.

O, ok.. So not worth messing with for lowering on a stock suspension then. I'll try to find out what pads my 96 C280 has.
