Kompressor Problem

hi everyone, ive been having problems with my car recently (a '99 C230K). the supercharger seems to slip whenever i increase the power by more than 25%... meaning ill be cruising at 40mph (gas pedal at around 10%) and if i take it to 35%, lets say to pass a car, the supercharger feels like it slips and i let off the gas. if i dont let off the gas it simply feels like the supercharger turns off and the car goes into a "safe mode" and when i come to a stop with the car still on, the engine shakes violently. the check engine light also comes on when this happens. when i turn the car back on the light is still on but the shaking is gone, then the light goes away in about 2 days. does anyone know what could be going on?

As much as everyone here would love to help you,you need to help us.Please post as much maintenance history on the vehicle as possible. Examples - last plug change, fuel filter change, air filter change,IF the mass air sensor was ever changed,IF the O2 sensors were ever done etc.I know it may sound silly but its alot easier to help you diagnose the problem if we have a little backround on your vehicle.
