1997 C280/wAMG 17" wheels and Amg Body Kit
C280 OIl
I just bought a C280,there was no owners manual with it. Does anyone know what kind of oil should be used? Also where can i find a new manual?

10W 40 and 20W 50 are both recommended. You can find manuals on ebay a lot of times or you can just get one from the dealer. Oh yeah, it holds 7.9 quarts. I know, it's like a truck. Don't expect to be able to get a filter at WalMart or anything. It's a wierd filter. I have found them at Autozone and Advance Auto though. It's one of those cannister type filters.

Regarding the filter, if you have the time, I'd recommend investing in oem-quality filters (Hengst, Mann). They're just the best thing to use in your MB.
You can get them from a variety of places online, or your local dealer's parts desk. Online, you can probably get them for about $6 a piece or less, and there's some places that do free shipping on orders over $50. Might make sense to pick up other filters or parts when you're buying to get to the free shipping hurdle. Good luck.

What? Those German filters aren't any good. You need to get the good brands like STP and Motorcraft. They have been tested to make your car last as long as a Ford. Ok, I'm kidding. Mann, Hengst and Bosch are the best but if you're in a hurry to get it done and don't have time to wait for a filter to come by mail you can go to the el cheapo stores.
