fill plug in tranny?
Does anyone know if there's a fill plug in the tranny (just above the drain plug)? If there's a fill plug, then I don't need to buy the tranny dip stick when I change the tranny fluid. The correct fluid level can be checked through the fill hole, if there's one.

No fill plug. You need to find the tutorial on changing the fluid on the 722.605. It is not as simple as you might think and different from the earlier w202 trannies. Do it right or don't bother because these trannies are temperamental.

All of them starting in 97 or 98, I forget which. I am pretty sure it is 97.
