Hello everyone. My first post in these forums so bear with me if I make some error.

My wife recently purchased a 2002 C 230 Kompressor. So far I've had the rust removed and the car repainted, replace the front springs and control arms on each side.

Next up is to locate some rims for winter. We get our fair share of snow in upstate NY, so I'm looking at getting four studded snows (205/55/R16) and would like to also buy some rims for same. That way I can just swap out the summer set for the winter set, without having to strip rubber each season.

So I've been looking around on line and the cheapest I've found were like $88, plus over $40 shipping, each. Kinda steep.

I was wondering if:

1) I can find plain steel rims for this car, and

2) Where would be a good place to look.

I've got four studded snows lined up on Tire Rack for around $400 shipped, but am having a hard time locating rims.

Any ideas? TIA

Watch Craigslist postings for all of the communities within a 100 mile radius. Something will show up before long either as wheels or junked car.

BTW, in the future you will want to post in the w203 section for information specific to your series.
