1994 C220 Speakers - Wanting to Change
Does anyone have any recommendations as to what aftermarket speakers to install in a 1994 c220? I'd prefer a recommendation from someone who has actually changed the speakers in the same car or similar year/body model. My factory speakers have absolutely no bass whatsoever and distort at moderate volumes with a max bass setting on the deck (still using factory deck).

why not just install a subwoofer instead of replacing speakers.. i've replaced a few of the door speakers with oem speakers after they broke and found out that you'd have to get adapter kits to fit most aftermarket speakers, apparently the resistance of the speakers is 2ohms instead of the usual 4ohms which make cause trouble finding suitable replacements. Also the factory deck probably couldn't make the most out of better quality speakers so you'd have to rewire and install a speaker amp aswell..
long story short, if your only problem is bass, you'd probs be better off by saving yourself the hassle and gettin a sub
