1987 300E, 1995 C280
So i picked up a w202.
Well.. i picked up a 1995 C280 for 2400$..
sorry but i really hate it compared to my w124 haha..
the car is alot smaller, and the seats make my butt hurt... anyways i picked it up because the engine ran great, and the paint and interior are pretty clean..
now i want to sell it.. but all my friends are like dude the w124 is ugly.. w202 has mad swagger.. =/
some problems i have is the moonroof well the motor runs.. but i think the mounts are not attached.. anyone have an estimate for this?
the window on the drivers side rattles when going up.. and the one on the passenger side goes down.. but not all the way down.. any ideas?
Most of the fans in the front will not blow.. (only one vent blows)
AC does not blow cold
Estimate for this?
The radio is stuck on some code / wait mode or something.. sadly the car did not come with the manual..
No anti glare mirrors.. Expensive for installation?
Antenna is stuck.. and keeps making a whirring sound.. (do c280 antennas even go down automatic?)
i really really hate that its debadged
do i have the most basic package for the c280? i checked out another one.. and it had a way better climate system control.. it was way bigger..
also i don't have things like memory seats, and the adjustable steering wheel and stuff.. any thoughts?

Man, I just did the same thing and bought a 98 c230... It's hard going from a w124 to a smaller w202. I think i'm going to drive my w124 for another month and then see what i'm going to do with this one. I need to learn everything about it and with the w124 i know how to fix everything on it.

How many miles?
$2400 is high for all the problems with it.

These cars are expensive to fix if you take it to the mechanic.

121,000 miles i've decided to keep it.. its not a bad car at all actually.. haha its because i rode a w124 before this.. its kind of hard to adapt to a car with less options as well.. oh well.. a car is better than nothing though.. anyone have any idea on how to make leather softer? i shampooed and conditioned, but that makes the actual leather skin soft, im talking about the actual padding
