hey guys~!
i finally get the shocks from cali.. so i took out the bilsteins and attempt to install myself... the shocks have 2 rubber washers and pad thingys.. my question is do they both go underneath the car or do one go under and one go over(inside the hood under the 2 locking nuts)
(Tp???)

If I could see a picture of it I could tell you. I thought there was only one bushing. It goes on top inside the engine bay. Just install them the same way the old one's were put on. If I remember right, you don't use all the pieces they give you since the shock fits several other cars.

2. a smaller rubber washer (like a mini thick donut)
3. 3 metal rings
4. bolts etc etc

Allright. Starting from left to right in this picture I will tell you where each part goes. We will first talk about the top. The black rubber one on the very left goes on first. Second, put on the metal washer. (the big one) Next put on one of the nuts and tighten it down good. After that put on the second nut to lock it in place. Some shocks come with just one lock nut. It has plastic in the middle. If this is the case, you only need to put on one of those. At the bottom of the shock, first slide a small washer on the bolt. Second, put the shock in place. (where you install it on the car) If you are doing the front, it helps to turn the wheel in one direction. Slide the bolt through the bottom of the shock. Slide the last small washer on and then tighten the nut on top of it. That's it. Make sure you got everything good and tight. Hint: When trying to take the bottom bolt off and on it help to jack up the car to the neutral position so there is no up or down pressure on the bolt. You should be able to slide it in and out with you hand. You can use a hammer if you get mad at it. Whew, I should become a moderator.

You probably won't need the extra parts. They may be for a different car. I'd hate to see what would become of a company if they only made 1 shock for 1 car.

This is incorrect. Tighten the bolt 3/4 of a turn before THE BOLT breaks off. Get it, it's a joke. Don't actually do this.
