Assistance please: Interior trim piece removal
1995 C220: I am pulling the front seats out of the car, to properly clean ALL of the interior carpeting. I already pulled the back seats out of the car, then used External Torx to pull the bolts for the front seats. The only thing left, is to remove the seat belt from each seat, so I can physically separate the seat(s) from the vehicle.
Can someone tell me how the plastic trim piece is removed from the seat? I am not sure if the piece is supposed to be pulled straight up (towards the roof), pulled out (towards the inner door panel), or if there is any special technique to remove the piece - without breaking. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
