Something hanging out of front bumper

so i was filling up gas, and i see this thing falling out of the front bumper.. it was attached with some kind of wire

I think it's the cabin temperature sensor. It attaches to the back side of the small plastic grill mounted in the front bumper.

I am pretty sure it is the outside ambient temp sensor, not the inside cabin sensor. The sensor is the shaft piece on top and the rest is the mounting clip.
