Slipping gearbox
Hi.
Any chap or lasses know what the problem could be.Sometimes the box will go to 4th manual and stay there after kick down. I have had the oil checked and this is OK.The box is now slipping quite regularly but will reset on turning engine off and removing key. It is then ok for a while and will then start happening again. I have recently bought the car and am now thinking this was a lemon. It is a C220 csi 2001 138000 miles.
Any help would be appreciated before I spend all my hard earned dosh

The fluid might look ok but I would change it anyway.

Thanks I have it booked in on Monday for a gearbox servive and further diagnostics.
