99' c280 Wiper Issue..HELP!
So my wiper went out...my tech says I need a new wiper transmission and wiper motor...Its a 99' c280 sport.
1. anyone know where I can get these parts for a fair price?
2. my tech quoted me $1200 for labor & parts? is that fair? I told him I was no longer in a recession, but now a depression! LOL
any help will be appreciated.

Yeah I found the motor a bunch of places for around $150, I think by transmission the tech means the pivot assembly (and maybe linkage?)
I also scoped that there's a 99 c230 wiper motor/transmission for $150, might be worth checking out

Forget all that! I just did this and its super simple to replace. DO NOT SPEND $1200.
Sorry to say this but your mechanic is a scam artist or an idiot.
I don't think you need the transmission just the motor. It's rare the the transmission goes bad.
Here, i bought mine from here. $79 with free shipping but they are in texas so it should be like 1 day shipping.

You will need a 10mm socket, a long flat head screw driver, a phillips screw driver, and a 13mm wrench. It takes about 1 hour to remove and replace but make sure you test it and align it right. In the book it says it's about 1.5 hours of labor.
Ohh, the the new motor will only match up two bolts only but that's ok. It's raining here in cali and mine works perfect.

There's a plastic gear in the OEM motor that goes bad...If you don't want to listen to my advice i suggest you spend $1200...lithium grease will only solve the problem for a short amount of time...
