95 c280 engine harness...wtf
Every time I get close to getting this car back on the road I find another friggen problem....now it's the engine harness....I saw some frayed looking wires at connectors when reassembling head/valve job and they just got worse the more I looked, altho I did see posts/threads about this I did'nt expect it cause my car is a 50 k car that was in limbo for a dozen years....anyway having read most of the posts and threads I don't see where anyone saved any dough by obtaining a used 96 harness for their 93-95 car, since MB supposedly cured the problem in 96....I see the ecu's are the same for 95-96 and wonder two things....1 what's the difference between 95-96 engine harness if any and what was the exact date or month the new improved harness actually appeared...and what about 97 harnesses....It seems like all the guys that know something about these cars have moved on cause these cars are getting older, so I hope there's still a guru paying attention here....thanks now!
