Question COMAND in a w202

i know, i know, there are countless threads out there about steve and his retrofit COMAND installs but ive emailed him a number of times without a reply. however, searching through all the ancient posts ive enever seem to find a basic quote or even a ball park estimate of the total price of a complete install.
im sure an experienced electronic installer can figure out our old w202's and do a good clean job. does anyone know a wholesale dealer of these older COMAND units?
i feel retrofitting a COMAND completely transforms the look of the 202 interior and moving the climate control below the nav is a must.

any help or info is greatly appreciated!

DIY

ive seen posts of people with their DIY threads on COMAND installs but i have little experience working with elctronics. i have a few friends that work in a garage that could probably help.
what im asking is how good the finished product will be if i choose to do it myself vs. a proffesional like steve.
i want the nav to feel sturdy and look/work like it came with the car

Anti-slip regulation (i.e. traction control)

In the future, please start a new thread instead of thread-jacking another thread that is unrelated to your question. It just leads to confusion.

To reduce buy as much as you can on ebay!

Youll need to buy the following (off memory)

W208/W210 steering wheel with airbag
w208 cluster (NOT A W210!!!)
new steering wheel clockspring
Comand 2.0
Trim piece
wiring loom for Comand
GPS antenna
Comand nav disc

while your doing it you might as well buy a gateway light for ipod
and an argos bluetooth system for your phone.

Im sure Im missing parts, but thats the bulk of it. Ive had it in my car for about a year now, and Im already looking to update the Nav unit to maybe a 2.5 NTG or a dynavin aftermarket system. The command 2.0 is technology from 1998
