turn signals not working on 95 C220
Weird thing happened today, I went to get gas in my 95 C220 and when I tried to open the gas door, it was locked. Since I could not get it open, I drove home to investigate whey my vacuum locks where not working. On the way home I then noticed that my turn signals had stopped working, at what appeared to be about the time the locks failed.
Do the turn signals and the vacuum pump have anything in common, a relay or anything? I removed the vacuum pump and plugged it all back in and now it work, door locks and all, but turn signals still do not work. 4 ways are flashing OK, brake lights work, etc, just no turn signals now.
Was the two issues happening at the same time a co-incidence ???

Disregard connection with door locks and turn signals, after talking to son he tells me locks were not working for several days. However the turn signals are not working. He now tells me it all started with he was pushing the hazard bitton and it would not work. I think I need a wiring schematic for the car, any one know if there is one on line?

check your headlights. when you shut the door and the head lights come on the harness in the head light may be melted causing your problem. that is the only thing that the locks and the lights have in common. this will blow the fuse for central locking and cause your locks to be inop.
