instrument cluster ?

I bought a used instrument cluster on ebay because all the LCD digits on mine were all messed up. The new cluster is great however, it indicates 131,000 miles and my car only has 108k. Is there a way to replace just the mileage indication while retaining my digits?

You can often fix that yourself or send it to BBA remanufacturing for something like $225 and it keeps the mileage. A technician with the full SDS system can update the mileage but I don't know what documentation they require.

Gentlemen,

I have a similar problem. What I wanted to know is that if I source a used cluster, would I be able to swap out the LCD screens as mine are all cheesed up. Please advise.
Thanks,

Steven.

i don't think that'd be possible since the mileage memory retains itself so when you transplant it, it will still give out it's retained memory. unless you can have redone as to what xvvvz said.

good luck and let us know how it went.
