H1 bulb replacement HELP!

H1 bulb replacement HELP!
noticed my fog light was burned out on my 99 c280 went and picked up a couple H1 bulbs removed back round cover then un clipp
ed the bulb and removed it from housing but I cannot get the damn bulb out of the plactic wire block......ended up breaking the male insert of the old bulb//is some kind of trick to gitin the bulb out i pried back the 2 small black clips no luck.....is there a chance its melted in there? HelP
