P1236 code

My '99 C230K is throwing a check engine light with the P1236 code. I know it has something to do with the supercharger clutch but if anyone could help me figure it out more in doth that would be great. It runs just fine and I replaced the MAF a few months ago so I know that's not the issue. Please help.

Is your supercharger clutch noisey? I have the same code on my C230K, and my clutch needs to be replaced. It's noisey and is always engaged.

I tried a known good k40 relay on mine, but it didn't fix the problem.

I have to dish out $450 for a new clutch.

Was told my MAF is fine, My K40 all good was told all that is left 2 be done is to re program the ECU cos its the one not sending the right signal 2 the S/C. The S/C engages immediately the car comes on but while driving its lazy on downshifts. If this does not work am sending dude str8 2 the slaughter house. Holla and save REDs life.

Was told and shown by mech that the S/C clutch is suppose 2 work like that of the aircondition engaged only when needed. So if its always engage then something is wrong cos mine is same. Going back in 2days time 2 have it sorted out.
