Hi All,

I have a 1995 C180 W202 and my indicators stopped working, I believe I am the cause of the fault :P Yesterday my hazard light switch stopped working, so I pulled it out and I couldn't fix it, so I took the red cover of and broke everything inside accidently lol. I put the red cover back on the switch and put the part back on. The hazard lights now work, however the switch has no feel to it. This morning I wen't for my drive and now my indicators don't work at all. Left - nothing, right - nothing (hazards still work). Everything else works perfectly apart from indicating left or right. I pulled the hazard switch out all together but the indicators still don't work. What have i dont Do I just need a new hazard light switch??

I checked the fuses and swapped around the indicator fuse but still nothing

w202 indicators not working??? As an electrical engineer, I'd say replacing the hazard switch would solve your problem. It is broke, and the circuits inide it are now defective. This broken switch will affect nearly all bulbs connected to the blinker and hazard warning relays.

 

Thanks for the confirmation, my indi thinks its the same thing, he has ordered me a new switch $77. Bloody wreckers wants $45-$65. I hate the mercedes wreckers in Brisbane, AUS. They such rip offs, usually you can find new parts cheaper.

 

New hazard switch installed and indicators working again
