VIN location on 97 C280
Does anyone know where the VIN is stamped on the chassis of a 97 C280 ? I want to verify that the VIN on the dash is the same like the one on the car chassis.

Thanks, but I was looking for something more permanent, something engraved on the car body. A sticker could be easily taken from another car. DMV looks for a permanent VIN stamped on the body. My car has a salvage title and I want to register it after rebuilding the car.
