1996 C280 with V6?
Saw a 1996 C280 on Craigslist and the owner said it had a V6. The owner hasn't called me back, but I thought the V6 didn't start until '98? Hope he knows the difference 'cause I don't think the in-line 6 had a good rep.

Thanks. I will stay away.
I saw the car on Craigslist for cheap $$ and I was curious. But a later comment revealed the car had a blown head gasket which happens.
I have enough trouble keeping my two 190E's on the road for my kids.

Must be an M104 inline 6, unless the owner did a conversion (highly unlikely). The M112 V6 came out with the facelifted model in 1998.
P.S. The inline 6 motor is a beaut'... Tried and tested with the same power as the V6. The electronics are the problem, not the engine.
