Changed oil a little while back with 5-40 fully synthetic magnatec. I ran it to make sure the filter was full and then refilled tho oild til it touched the max line on the dipstick and checked the next day after driving the day before to make sure it was full. It was.

Now, about 1,200km later i checked the level and it has gone down about 25% under the max mark on the dip stick.

So still over the half way max/min mark, but about a quarter of the space between max/min is not covered.

Is this acceptable/normal usage?

I can see a little sweat on the side of the engine and when under the car there is a little oil under the oil pan but nothing big and there are never any il spots where the car is parked.

(reason I ask is I had 2 1991 Opel vectras that did not use any oil for 6000+km
