I was thinking about shocks/sprigns next too because I'm worried my shocks might be blown from the strange noises im hearing recently.

but the thing is, im riding on stock 15" right now and usually when you change springs/shocks you want to change the wheels too right? going back to an age old repeated thread...

17x7.5 front
17x8.5 rear
amg monoblock ii's

blisten sport shocks
hr sport springs

rub??? can I go any bigger w/o rub

I'm pretty sure that's as big as you can go. I want new rims too. Just still trying to decide which one's to get. I want 18's but It's too hard to find any that will fit on a lowered car. If you lower your car without new rims you will still feel a huge difference.

shocks & springs for SURE!

AMG Monoblocks II are TIGHT!

I have 17" on mine and no rub w/ 45 profile tires. I love the look and 45 profile for comfort!

Yup, that post is mine... w/ the SLKs. Black on Black 1999 C280 Sport!

Here's the before pictures on page 3:

My other choice would have been the monoblocks II. Maybe I'll airbrush Monoblocks IIs in to see what it would have been like. I just ordered #4 pads for the rear, gonna raise it up just a bit this weekend.

Rincewind,

Here's a used set of Eibachs' on eBay to get you started:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...410038901&rd=1

I wouldn't bid above $100 on them! IMO!

There are different suspensions for the different years too. You'd better email the guy and ask what car they came of before bidding.

18x8 amg monoblock ii front and rear fit with HR sport and blisten shocks... any rubbing?

17x7.5
17x8.5 seems to small for me

I'm going to get wheels/shocks/springs as next project ^_^
