The last evening I was in the states I have had some pizzas together with several benzusiastics and after pizza I lead the way in a C43 towards the highway 101 to get back "home" again. I was followed by a bi turbo-d C280 and a tp-stickered regular C280.
Once I drove onto the onramp, I floored the C43 whilst enjoying the acceleration and the longlasting curve onto the highway...once I reached the highway, I eased off the gas and drove further at socail speeds....RRRROOOOAAARRRR is what I heard when the bi turbo-d C280 passed me at highspeed at my rightside. Someone in the back of the C43 said hey, get him! so I figured I might as well do what the owner of the car told me to .
I have been tailling that C280 bi turbo for quiet a while while we were passing cars left and right all over the 101 and we reached speeds up to 210 km/h (130mph) which was more like the regular cruising speed then the absolute max peak.
A fair number of cars flashed at us (which I surely could understood after they were passed at both sides by two Asocial benzes) and it was entertaining to see how those flashers were flashed at by the third and slowest C280 who/which SURPRISINGLY did VERY well in keeping up with the mighty powered C-brothers!
After we got off the 101 (with that third C280 at my rear bumper...he must have been doing some very crazy overtaking actions) I noticed every single one (6 persons in total) had an extreme grin on their face...man...that WAS fun!
I was glas I could hand over the key and got back to my C250DIESEL again...a C43 will kill me for sure!
...we have to do that again sometime ; tp...amazing!!!

why yes... i was in the "saftey car" tp's ride monitoring the whole "race". that was one of the best runs ive seen yet! tp's car maxed out at 134mph wouldnt push no more. The light rain sounded like little rocks hitting hte windsheild hard! Oh how i wish i had the video camera!
As we passed car after car... we passed a rice rocket.. bright yellow integra.. the older school ones. It saw whtie c and a silver c pass it fast.... as soon as it saw them apss at high speeds it wanted to join! so it merged out right infront of us! we were like wtf!!!! we were going so fast and he made us brake!!! then he tried.. btu that hting had no power so after 2 seconds of trying he backed off and we passed him.
It sure was fun to watch ppl highbeam steve and ian... lol. As thoe ppl high beamed them.. we were in the back high beamin them back! hahahaha
Boy oh boy.. we MUST do that again!!! this time with a few AMG 208's eh? *hint hint* *coughrenncough*

It was most definetly fun watching Steve drive the C43, as i was sitting shotgun. As much as he tried being a social driver, it just didn't happen. So as soon as Rascal passed us up and Steve got the OK from the owner in the back seat, Steve had the biggest smile i have ever seen on anyone before. As the C43 downshifted and throw us back into the seat, the C280TT seem to stand still for a second and we start getting closer to it. Of course through out this whole time Steve could not stop chuckeling when looking in the rear view mirror at tP's efforts to keep up with us. I do have to give props to tP for doing a great job keeping up but then again he never slowed down once he get started. Both C280TT and C43 where going between 80 - 130 at any given time, due to traffic constrants. tP stayed at a constant 130 or so all the way home. Just like the turtle and the hare.
It was a blast to say the least....
